CATERPILLAR...

...BREAD


Ini lah rupanya caterpillar bread. Tompok-tompok hitam kat atas roti tu..mixed fruit. Doh roti di gaul dgn mixed fruit..jadi lah macam tu.

Hasil roti ni kurang memuaskan. Dia macam keras dan berat. Padat gitu. Sebabnya sama ada sukatan yis yang saya masukkan tu tak cukup atau pun yis dah ala-ala masuk angin skit. Yis yg saya guna tu adalah lebihan yis untuk buat pau beberapa minggu sebelum tu. Ada tulis kat paket tu yg sepaket yis untuk 1kg gandum. Pau yg saya sblm tu guna 500g gandum & roti kali ni pun 500g gak. Saya dah tak timbang le...main agak2 setengah paket tuang dalam gandum...terus uli. Mungkin terlajak sukatan yis utk pau dan terkurang utk roti ni.

Tapi rasanya boleh tahan lah..cuma terlalu manis lebih2 lagi ada mixed fruit tu. Itu pun saya dah kurangkan sukatan gula masa uli tu. Dapat le 5 biji roti. Tak larat nak habiskan ke-5-5 biji tu..saya simpan dalam peti ais. Bila dah keras saya potong nipis2 dan bakar lagi sampai keras..jadilah biscotti...jamu kawan2 kat ofis...habis gak akhirnya...dah jadi biscotti tu sedap pulak..rasa manis pun kurang skit (iye ke..??!!!). Sayangnya lupa nak ambil gambar biscotti tu.

KEK KOPI

Dapat resepi kek ni dr majalah SAJI. Nampak senang je buat kek ni ... tak perlu nak pukul telur sampai kembang ke apa...main gaul je semua..macam nak buat lempeng je... rasanya boleh tahan le..macam biasa saya kurangkan sukatan gula...kalau manis sangat..rasa tak leh nak telan ... tersekat di kerongkong... hari ni dah bawa ke ofis... sekejap je abis..maklum le.. orang ramai... sorang sekeping...hah..habis semua...
kek ni rasanya berempah skit sbb masukkan serbuk kulit kayu manis dan serbuk buah pala..sesaper yang tak minat buah pala tu mungkin tak suka makan kek ni..tapi kat dalam dia choc cip...kira macam penyelamat rasa..tak de la rasa "exotic" sangat...
Lupa nak ambil gambar...tapi ....bekas kosong ada ler... ;-)

RESOLUTION SUCCESS

This article on New Year's resolution success appeared in NST on Thursday, January 1, 2009. In case you missed it,(I hope it is not too late to read) I would like to share the 'recipe' with all of you so that you can be successful in achieving what you set out to achieve:

1. Write them down. It's a fact: writing down your goals gives you a higher chance of success.
2. Commit. Move beyond the land of "good ideas" to the land of true "commitment". Make the decision you will show up for your goals. Perhaps you can do a ritual or ceremony to symbolise your commitments.
3. Tell people. Let your biggest fans in on your new commitments and goals for the year.
4. Get accountability. Even better than just letting in on your "secret" dreams and goals - get some accountability. Meet for lunch once a month with a group that will ask you, "So, how is it going with your goal?"
5. Hire a coach. Talk to your best friend or partner. Get some support!
6. Make a plan. Ensure success with a step-by-step plan. Work backwards by starting with the end vision of where you want to be and working backwards to where you are today.
7. Do a goal check-in. Before you decide on what you will take on for the year, ask: "Am I the primary reason for setting this goal? Do I feel alive and energised by this goal? Is this goal in line with my life purpose or mission?".
8. Get real! How will this goal end differently in 2009? Is this goal something you need to let go of? What purpose is it serving you each year? What is the good enough reason to truly commit?
9. Focus with reminders. Once you have got your goals and plan in place, post your goals on your bathroom mirror or in your car, or in your palm pilots or cell phones. Figure out what works for you.
10. Believe and visualise. Visualise yourself on New Year's Eve with all your goals achieved. What would that look like? How would it feel? Visualise once a day and see the difference it can make in your life.

May 2009 be the year that your goals and dreams reach full flight!

PUMPKIN SOUP

Sedap rupanya pumpkin soup ni. Malam tadi dah masak seperiuk. Tapi leceh gak nak buat sebab bila dah empuk semua bahannya, nak kena blend dan tapis. Hmmm...apa lagi...yg bab tapis tu terus skip....tapi ok je...sedap banget...cicah dgn roti...humph...yummy...
Resepinya tak berapa nak ingat sukatan lah. Ambil dari buku masakan omputih. tapi jgn risau semua bahan2nya ada kat Mesia ni.

Resepi ingat2 lupa
:
900gm labu - kupas dan potong dadu
sebatang leek -(tak letak pun sbb tak de) potong dadu
2 btg celery - potong dadu
1 bwg besar - mayang halus
4 bwg putih - tumbuk
minyak zaitun (extra virgin) - 4 sudu
air
gula, garam
150ml creamwell - saya letak whipping cream (tak tau lah...entah2 sebenarnya 2-2 ni benda yang sama je)
serbuk buah pala & serbuk lada hitam - sepatutnya yg fresh, tp kalau dah x de tu hentam ajelah yg mana ada - sedap gak rasanya, cuma mungkin bau wanginya kuranglah kot
serbuk cayenne

Cara-caranya:

1. Panaskan minyak zaitun dan goreng labu beberapa minit sehingga semuanya rata dgn minyak.
2. Masukkan leek, celery, bawang putih, bawang besar - goreng sampai layu.
3. Masukkan air (semua bahan tenggelam). Rebus hingga menggelegak dan empuk.
4. Masukkan garam, gula dan lada hitam. Setelah empuk, tutup api dan sejukkan.
5. Setelah sejuk blend semuanya hingga hancur dan tapis kedalam periuk.
6. Jerang di atas api dan masukkan krim. Masak hingga menggelegak. Boleh tambah garam dan lada hitam sekiranya perlu. Masukkan juga serbuk cayenne.
(saya terlupa nak masukkan cayenne jadi saya letak masa nak makan je.)

POEM

The crisp white page of a new diary is
an invitation,
For us to pen down our resolve to surmount
the many challenges in the year ahead, guided

To bring true meaning to our lives, and the

WORK OUT

Bersenam ni perkara mudah yang payah. Mudah sebab kat mana2 pun boleh bersenam. Tak semestinya kena pergi gym baru boleh bersenam. Yang jadi payahnya sebab malas dan mungkin juga faktor masa. Maklumlah pagi2 lagi sebelum nampak tanah dah kena keluar rumah supaya tak tersangkut dalam traffic jam...dah malam baru sampai rumah semula. Tapi tak pe, mari kita tengok beberapa tips yang disarankan dalam Time Out KL on how to work out in the office. Jadi ke tak ni....

1. Don't make internal phone calls
Why not walk over to the person you would have called?
2. For exactly the same reason, don't send internal emails
3. Lift the bin up with your feet before putting litter in
This works your thigh and lower abdominal muscles.
4. Go through regular doors rather than the automatic ones
Pushing the doors recruits your triceps (back of the arms), shoulders and chest muscles.
5. If your chair has castors, use it to move around the office
Sitting upright and pulling with the balls of the feet is a great hamstring toner.
6. Don't keep a bottle of water on your desk
Walk back and forth to the cooler.

WELCOME 2009





Usually the arrival of new year is marked with the display of beautiful fireworks at 12 midnight. This year was no exception. The fireworks display at the KLCC park was amazing. It was right in front of us, yes literally @ technically. Before this we just sat in our backyard and watch the fireworks in the comfort of our home. But this year my husband had a surprise for me and we headed to KL in the afternoon without me knowing where our destination was. hmmm... it was revealed later that day. Anyway, it was a pleasant one.

Apabila tahun baru juga...people talk about new resolutions....asal tahun baru je..azam pun nak baru...tapi tak tau lah azam lama tu dah tercapai ke belum...

These are the tips on how to make a New Year's resolution taken from NST (Thursday, January 1, 2009)

Step 1: Be realistic by setting achievable goals (hmm....nak turunkan berat badan sebanyak 15kg)

Step 2: Describe your resolutions in specific terms

Step 3: Break down large goals into smaller ones

Step 4: Find alternatives to a behavior that you want to change

Step 5: Aim for things that are truly important to you.
